Resort Activities Associate - PT

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the successful execution of activities and events by consistently monitoring resort activity programs, special events and entertainment. Provides activity updates to all resort staff and all related employees and/or 3rd party vendors. This individual will assists with the internal and external communication to drive marketing value to all resort sales and marketing channels.
• Actively communicates activities and events to all Owners and Guests. Also, ensures excellent customer service as it relates to our activities and functions property – wide
• Monitors all activities to ensure the safety and security of all
• Assists in the planning and execution of resort activities and events
• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
• Ensure all cash handling procedures, processes and standards are adhered to at all time without exception.
• Performs other tasks as assigned
• Effectively communicate in English – bilingual is a plus
• Familiarity with water safety, CPR certification strongly desired.
• First Aid Certified strongly desired.
• Computer knowledge is preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS (up to five):
% of Time
(equals 100%)
1. Assists in the planning and execution of resort activities and events 40%
2. Participates in Food and Beverage Prep as well as maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas 40%
3. Responsible for cash handling 10%
4. Maintain departmental paperwork as needed for job duties 10%

QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guidelines in accomplishing tasks as described above
• Ability to be self-directed
• General knowledge of kitchen equipment required
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong problems solving and prioritizing skills
• Must have a commitment to excellence

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Specific work assignments may change without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of work will be performed in a non-climate-controlled environment. Will be exposed to various industrial chemicals, cleaning agents, etc. Will be exposed to strong odors, and loud noise levels.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal departmental operating hours. All departments are open during major holiday periods.
